12 tags of 2015 and a winner

I hope none of you were sitting waiting for this post!
I seem to be extremely busy with a lot of overtime at work the last few weeks!
So now I'm a week behind in picking a winner from the Birthday Giveaway!
So lets start with that!
The lucky winner is Renee Stein!
Renee, please contact me and I'll get your prize out to you asap!

Now, for my take on the March 12 tags of 2015
This month Tim showed us how to use embossing paste,
 with gold embossing powder!
On Tim's tag he used a butterfly,
after looking over my small selection of butterflies I wasn't happy with any of them,
so I went straight to my new Dina Wakley scribbly Birds stamps.

And this little guy was perfect!
I added some wood veneer hearts,
and some bits and bobs from the curiosities line.
Finally a button and some ribbon to finish off the top of the tag.
A quick one this month,
I was lucky enough to be able to pick up the new Typo Layering stencil
at my local scrapbook store.

Otherwise I had most all that I needed to finish this fun March Tag!

I hope you all are playing along with the tags this month!

Happy Birthday and a new challenge at Anything But a Card

Good morning!
Happy Birthday to me!
Yep, that's right, I'm another year older,
and you all get the present!!!
I have a present for one of you
I picked up some of my favorite things to share with you!
A Tim Holtz stencil, and rub ons,  then there is a stamp set, and some wood veneers that are hearts and arrows.
What do you need to do to win??
Well, just follow my blog, and leave me a comment telling me what your favorite cake is.
Mine by the way is vanilla cake with vanilla frosting!
And I live some great icecream to go with it of course too!

So many of you may have found my blog through the new challenge at Anything But a Card
this month the challenge is Green with Envy,
and I'm sharing a fun little canvas that I made.
Green isn't a color that I use a lot in my crafting, so this was a bit of a stretch for me.
But I recently got some of Dina Wakley's scribbly birds,
and I thought it would be fun to stamp and then paint the birds up.
I found some little canvas' (5x7) at Michaels, and went to town.
I have to admit the stamping part was a little messy and uneven,
but once I started painting it was so fun and soothing!

I hope you all join in the "Green" fun, and join the challenge,
and don't forget to leave a comment with your favorite cake!!!

The Birthday giveaway will close on March 14th.
