Happy birthday

Tomorrow is the big guy's big day!!
Well not really big, we both have to work, and it's not exactly a milestone birthday,
but I still want to celebrate with him!
I had about 20 minutes before he got home tonight, so I pulled out my supplies and played along with the 10 minute craft dash at Pretty Pink Posh!

This fun little card took me exactly 8:47 to create!
I think it's pretty fun, a little patriotic looking, but I'm pretty sure he'll love whatever I make him!

Summer

Yesterday my husband wanted to clean and reorganize the craft room...
I swear it was his idea, not mine!
But it was a good thing.... stuff got new homes, and a little rearranging lead to a much
cleaner work space, and much more organized photo's!
Which allowed me to make this fun little layout using mostly my mind's eye papers,
and a layout I found on their site as well!
I did a little stitching of twine, and added that fun summer chipboard piece after I added glitter and glossy accents to it!
Who says you can't use glitter on a boys layout??
I guess it helps when the boy is so cute!

Fall Fun

It's time again for a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy!
This week the challenge is to use Dies or Punches!
I do love me some die cuts!
Soooo I pulled out this fabulous stamp from Stampendous (and it was unused!)
I colored it up using my copic markers,
Then I did a few different die cuts for those swirly background pieces
I added some ribbon and twine (I got a huge box of twine at an estate sale last weekend!!)
Then I stamped the leaf on some patterned paper, and stamped the hello
which I then heat embossed.
A perfect little fallish card!

Plus I have to give a shout out to DCVW papers,
Last month I played along with their stack a holic challenge, and I was a winner.
Well my prize pack was 3 full size paper packs!
I know! I was floored, and so very honored to win this prize!
They have a new challenge that ends very soon, so jump on over to their site and check it out!

Life is good

Today was my first day of working at 6 am, and getting out at 4pm.
Yeah!  So I had some time to finish up this card that I had started yesterday!
I used my daisy from Stampendous, but colored it up to look like a sunflower!
I loooove how big and versatile this stamp can be!
Sooooo after stamping and coloring,
I cut it into pieces.
Yep, so that I could put it back together in a grid pattern!

I've never tried this technique before, and thought this is the perfect image to do it with!
My pieces did turn out a little lop sided, but live and learn right???

I have been super lucky with the challenges at Stampendous, and am hoping this month will be just as lucky in their fall fun challenge!
Their challenge is Fall Fun, and to me a bright yellow sunflower just screams fall!
I'm also linking up with the Technique Challenge at

and also the Clean and Simple Challenge at Love to Create

Many thanks

This week I finished the first major part of my training at work,
I'll be moving on to another trainer next week, so I made this fun and cute little card for my previous trainer.  I know how much effort and work goes into training, and I appreciate all she's done for me!
I used my tiddly inks image, and the many thanks is from the same stamp set.
Don't you just love that butterfly?

I was greatly blessed this week in that I won quite a few prizes, and they all seemed to show up on about the same day!
This included 5 paper packs total!
I was floored, and knew I had to start using them!
The dotty background paper came from coredinations, and I will definitely be using it again!
It's the raised embossed paper, I just sanded the polka's a little, and voila!
I also of course used twine, and that big strip of ribbon was a major score!
I literally found an entire roll of ribbon in the middle of a parking lot a few weeks back!
I've gotta say I'm not above grabbing that bad boy up and putting it to good use!

Silly faces

Last month I won the stack a holic challenge over at DCWV Diary's
Yesterday I opened an amazing package of 3 stacks of papers!
Wow! I was completely blown away by their generosity, and figured I'd
better get moving on their newest Stack a holic challenge!
It's a layout challenge, and I created this fun layout with some pictures of my nephew's Silly Faces!
Oh that kid is such a ham! He just poses for the camera all the time!
I used the My Sunshine pack, and some twine from the Twinery,
I'm sad to say that I'm running very low on the red mariccino cherry.
I'm guess I'm gonna have to stock back up on that!

Plus here's a picture of what I walked into in the craft room after going to get a cup of water.
I do love how it seems he has been sleeping for hours and hours, even though it's only been like 10 seconds!
Talk about a HAM!

Create freedom

 Happy Patriots Day!
For those of you that aren't from the US,
Today is the 12th anniversary of the terrorist bombing of the twin towers in New York City.
Like most in my age bracket and higher, I remember exactly where I was when I heard,
and I also remember almost everything I did for the rest of the day after!
Sadly I also remember the effects that day has had on myself, and on those I love!

Fitting for today I created a red white and blue layout!
My 19 year old nephew posted this picture on facebook a few weeks back,
and I snagged it up, and scrapped it!
He's an artist inside, I just know it!
Here's a close up of the picture, and the fabulous embellies all around it!
Way cool??
I love that I got to use that FREEDOM stamp that I got from Unity Stamps too!

Also, I used up a little bit of my sequin and button stash.
I know it's not a huge stash, but do you know how long those sequins can last??

I'm totally in love with this layout!  I hope you are too??

Anything but a Card

Happy Sunday!
I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend,
It's time again for another fabulous challenge over at Anything But a Card!
This two weeks the challenge is :
Hit the books! Create a project based on your favorite book, or alter a book, use book pages on your project, create a book mark, a book cover, etc.

Here's my creation!

Fun, a little quirky, and I learned a lesson too!
The lesson is to bring the correct (new) staz-on to crops, so that I can get a better stamped image next time!
Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Another birthday ATC

Happy Saturday everyone!
I woke up a little early today, so I thought what's the best thing to create
when the urge hits, and I don't have a lot of time??
Well an ATC of course!
So I'm playing along for the second time this week with Wicked Wednesday's 100th Celebration!
I got my color inspiration from the ColorQ challenge (I did have to add yellow for the candles!)
So I hope you're having a fun and productive Saturday!
Its an overcast and sorta gloomy day here in Phoenix, perfect for crafting, nappin, or in my case workin!

A quick Thank you

I've been throwing around the idea of making some card sets.
Have any of you lovely ladies and gents ever done this?
Did you give them away?  or did you use them for yourself??

That said...
I made this quickish thank you card.
After all it's time again for the 10 minute craft dash!
This time the card took me 8:19... Wow right??
Here's my card...
In honor of all the back to school challenges, I did the thank you in white pigment ink,
and then added the "chalkboard" lines around it using an old credit card
(Yeah for most of mine being cut up!!!)
I used up some of my old rick rack that I've been hanging onto,
PLUS...  See the pretty yellow graphic looking paper??
It's actually some Basic Grey packaging!
I just love upcycling!
In fact, the blue square behind the thank you is also a bit of a paint chip!
Woooo whooo!
Hope you enjoy!

Crate paper navy and sequin challenge

I am falling in love!
With crate paper!
It's fun and a bit whimsical, and they have a fab challenge that ends today that I'm joining in!
Navy and sequin....
I mean what's funner than that??
Soooo I made two different pages
This first page is a beautiful bouquet that hubby got me quite a while ago!
And did ya know you can print Instagram photos through walgreens??
And they print out in 4x4 size too!
Yep, I kinda figured lots of you out there maybe didn't know.
And I don't get paid tot ell you, I simply just love this size!
So I'm sharing!
Don't you love the rows of sequin??

This next page is also using a lot of crate paper embellies,
But the main paper is from bo bunny!
That's my cute kitty!
She's the sweetest love bug of them all!

If you are looking for some fun cute paper check out
